Ancient Spirit (Poem)
Wind upon the sky
Light within the clouds,
Heat in the air,
Brings me feelings that you don’t know.
You regard what you hold,
What you touch, what you smell,
Taste of the sun upon you,
Never meant anything for you.
While you make peace with that sense,
You know the dreams never leave you alone,
But you must know if the wind would not cheer your name,
The mortal would not surrender towards your beholding.
Beside all, the ancient spirit what we share,
Made me fall asleep to see what you are.
I couldn’t smell blood and bones within your body,
All I felt was merciful love that I’ve been captured.
Beyond the reason, beyond the fresh mind,
Have lost my God, and worshipped on the ground beneath you.
Could not wake up from your slavery for a very long time,
Hoped you will come and find me in my grave,
And you’ll spread your blessings to the soil that I’m covered.
And bless with a spirit,
Thus my heart beats again.
